My Very Hungry Caterpillar

We celebrated Abigail's 1st birthday this weekend in Macon with a very fun and appropriate theme for Abigail, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  Abigail would eat all day if we let her, and some days I feel like she does just that from about 4:00 in the afternoon until bed.  This was such a fun day, and we were so blessed to have all Abigail's cousins travel from Valdosta for the big day.  I loved that all the fruit in the book could be used for the party, and that the babies would have their favorite foods at the party for them.

Nana was such a big help getting all set up, and I have to thank Pinterest friends for all the ideas- I wish I could say they were original, but they weren't.  Here are a few pictures from the day, and I have to end by saying how thankful we are for our sweet Abigail and her already adventurous spirit- this stage is exhausting but so fun to see her explore and learn so many new things.

My first post

I've always said that I will never blog- I'm not a gifted writer, and I certainly don't have any hidden wisdom to share in my writing.  But, the last few weeks I've been considering starting a blog.  I would love to have a place to document our lives, and share special moments with friends and family that may be far off.  I can't promise it will be up to date, that I will even stick with it, or that we have anything super exciting to document, but I am excited about giving it a shot.  So friends, get ready because I am sure mostly I will be posting an obnoxious amout of pictures of two precious little girls and my ever patient husband that to me are the people that make my very ordinary every day extraordinary.
